I purchased this scanner because of its resolution and its inclusion in the Mandrake Hardware listing (I am using MandrakeLinux at the current cooker level with kernel 2.6.11-8.
Sane-backends is already loaded.
I wanted to download the iscan rpm from
www.avasys.jp/english/linux_e/
However, selecting that triggers a RealTime package which seems to have nothing to do with downloading. As an alternative, I downloaded the tarball without any problem from the same page of the same site.
Unfortunately, it will not compile, complaining that in cfilebuf.cc, lines 252 and 253 have an error: expected unqualified-id before ';' token.
So, I cannout download the rpm version, and I cannot compile the tarball.
Can anyone help me resolve either of these methods so I can make use of the scanner?
