enable printer in linux

Good morning,

I would like to inquire regarding enabling or starting a printer in linux CLI. According to the man page you just need to enter enable followed by printer name. The problem is everytime I run the command an error will appear saying “bash: enable: printit: not a shell builtin” (printit is the name of the printer). Pls help. Thanks in advance.

cat /etc/printcap

look the name first word of the printer list

mine exampe

C43SX-NOC|Print-Server:rm=noc:rp=C43SX-NOC:

then

/usr/bin/enable C43SX-NOC

try it
