emu10k1-gp w/ interact gamepad

I've got an emu10k1 w/gameport.
I've got an interact 9 button gamepad.

I got it working once before on kernel 2.6.12.3, but now I'm on 2.6.12.6 after two fresh installs(found out the hard was Slackware 10.2 wasn't for me, should've known after they dropped GNOME)
Anyway... emu10k1-gp is compiled as a module, along with all the other gameport drivers. All the joysticks are compiled as modules.
I do a modprobe emu10k1-gp, seems fine. I do a modprobe interact, seems fine. I do a modprobe joydump, nope. Not recognized. SO, I load all the gameport modules, along with analog, db9, and interact..... Nothing.
Any ideas? It is plugged in.
