Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Elo Touchscreen Calibration

I'm trying to find a way to calibrate an ELO touchscreen on an Ubuntu box with KDE and xorg. I've tried the calibration utility for DOS that ELO provides, but, I can't find a working driver in DOS for the Chips & Technology 69030 card this embedded box has. So, I can calibrate to all kinds of text and EGA modes, but none of the VESA modes come up.

Is there a calibration that works natively in X? I've searched and can't seem to come up with anything. The touchscreen is serial, not USB, FYI.

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

Solved this with a program that came bundled with tkXinput: /usr/bin/calibrate.
