e-GeForce 7600 GT Linux Driver


I went to the website to find a e-GeForce 7600 GT Linux Driver but I can not find one. Any one know where a driver is that I can get.

although my graphic are good (I was told when I bought this that it was a Linux driver for it)

I have debian 64bit

I am trying to run it in duel monitor and i need the proper driver.

you can also consult the debian wiki and try the "Debian way" although I've never tried that on a 64 Bit machine.

Make sure your sources.list includes "non-free" so it can access the nVidia drivers from the repository



aptitude update
aptitude install build-essential module-assistant
m-a prepare
m-a update
m-a a-i nvidia
aptitude install nvidia-glx


Edit your xorg.conf per the directions on the how-to or nvidia readme file

You can always get them direct from nVidia at http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d...100.14.11.html

You will need the kernel sources, but it is pretty straight forward. Follow the instructions in the README.
