I am a teacher in the San Fernando Valley and want to promote opensource to the students. Currently have a few networked Apples in the room, but they are far from open source.
I am familiar with linux and have Berkeley roots (BSD) etc.. but I have a zero budget for machines. Low-end pentiums with network cards would work for Linux (given the low minimum requirements to run X etc..)
This would be a very "goodworks" project for a Southern California Club
that is interested in having children using linux. Tech support as well
would be appreciated if offered.
thanks in advance,
Jody
