DMA in Suse 8.0? - Please Help

Hi all,

I am trying to keep my DMA settings in Suse 8.0.

I need this in order to get ogle to run not choppy

I run (from root)

hdparm -d 1 /dev/dvd - This sets it to DMA.

The moment i go to use the DVD in ogle it sets itself back (non DMA).

How do I set DMA on bootup and make it not change ????

Cheers

run yast2, select system->sysconfig editor, then from the list select etc-> devices_force_ide_dma_on, fill in the drive info and select save.

sorry, try this. add your hdparm command at the bottom of the etc/init.d/boot.local script.
