Displaying 2 XServer simultaneously

Hello,

in my computer, I am using 2 graphics cards. A Matrox card with 2 DVI ports and an NVidia with one VGA port.
My xorg.conf now has 2 ServerLayouts.
The first layout only uses the two Matrox-Ports, the second layout only uses the NVidia port. So these are mutual exclusive.
Usually I only use the Matrox layout (2 LCD Monitors).
But sometimes I start an additional XServer with the Nvidia layout (1 CRT). That works quite fine.
The only problem is: Only one XServer does its graphics output at a time. So if I switch to XServer 1, I see the desktop on both monitors that are connected to the Matrox card. The CRT on the NVidia is black. If I switch to XServer 2, the LCD monitors get black and I see only the desktop on the CRT that is connected to the NVidia card.

Is there a way to let both XServers display simultaneously? The are driven by different cards and are displayed on different monitors. So there is no hardware related issue that prevents this.

I found out that for multiseat configurations often (or always) these X options are used:

Code:
$ Xorg -help
[...]
-novtswitch don't immediately switch to new VT
-sharevts share VTs with another X server
Maybe they could be helpful in my case. I do not want real multiseat. I won't use multiple input devices. But I want to have both XServers displayed simultaneously, although only one will be active and receiving input events.
Does anyone have more information about what these options are supposed to achieve? I have found absolutely nothing more than the output from "X -help". Could these options be helpful to my problem?
