cursor jumps to mouse location without my consent
When I am in a shell consolle, or even trying to type this, I have problems with the cursor wanting to jump to the mouse location. For example, right as I am typing this "p" the cursor would want to jump to between the "t" and the "y" of the word typing. Then whatever I am typing gets inserted there. Or, sometimes a whole line or string will get highligted and overwritten with the "p" and if there is no editor with and "undo" I have to type it all over again.
The cursor seems to wait about 4-5 seconds before making this transition. At first I thought I was just touching the mousepad with my thumb, but it works fine in Win2000.
I have a Dell Insprion 8000 Laptop, SuSE 8.2, running KDE 3.1.
I have looked around in the control center and found "click to focus" sort of settings, but can't find where to solve this.
Any help is appreciated
