Computer won't display SCSI disk

I see to be having a problem with the SCSI disk that I'm trying to install. The computer that it is attached to was Win XP and SCSI worked fine. When we changed the computer over to Fedora 10, SCSI was being read by the computer but is not accessible. does anyone know how to fix this?

Check the output of the lsmod and dmesg commands. Are the SCSI controllers being recognized and the module aic7xxx loading?

How is the drive physically connected to the computer i.e. removable bay etc.
