Cannot start lircd?

When i am starting lircd I am getting :

#lircd -n
lircd: lircd(pcmak_usb) ready
lircd: accepted new client on /dev/lircd
lircd: readlink() failed for "/dev/lirc"
lircd: No such file or directory
lircd: could not create lock files
lircd: caught signal
Terminated

I dont have any device like "/dev/lirc" only
/dev/lircd and /dev/lircm

I am having "PCMAK USB receiver"
according to lirc web it doesn't need any kernel module.

What shall I do or check to make it run ?
