Cannot get Sound, Second Monitor, Wireless Card, or Video to work.
I have the restricted Nvidia drivers for my 7900gtx card enabled. I have Nvidia X Server Settings and tried to configure my second monitor, but the screen only appears black. It is a ScepterX20WG-Nagall monitor.

Hi aids4n, Welcome to lq. Sounds like you've had a rough time. I'd suggest picking one problem, solving it, then moving to the next. Let's collect some data and see if we can get this thing sorted. What version of Ubuntu is this? Please post the output of the following commands.

You could try the
madwifi drivers for that. Madwifi is the Atheros chip based wifi drivers. What version of Ubuntu is this?

The sound drivers are beta, ymmv. There isn't support for the card in alsa yet. I believe the card is supported by OSS but, if you can get the creative driver to work or wait for the alsa drivers, those are better solutions imo. Did you recieve any errors when installing the creative drivers? Have you tried any mixers?

I take that back. Wireless card is not working. I restarted and it is no longer appearing. I did get an error on one of the last steps of this guide:
