s-video and dvi out won't work on video card


i am running suse, i finally got the latest drivers for my video card, which now enables me to play 3d games, but now i want to use the dvi out and the s-video out, so i can hook it up to my 25 inch tv, but dvi and s-video don't display anything, yet in windows it did
please i need help

Nvidia geforce 5500 fx 256mb agp 8x video card

Does is display NOTHING or no usable picture?

I have a LinuxCertified laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, and all I can get out of S-video is a non-synced picture with screen portions sliced and rearranged.
