audio & video drivers


Iam using redhat 5 version .My system configuration are as follows:

Machine type/model -> 8985A12
System board-> Lenovo
System Serial No.->L9BX890

Iam not able to find out drivers for video & audio .Does any one knows it

In the bootup, are u able to see the mixer? If you are but still no sound, it might be as simple as turning on the "Surround" settings (turned off by default). I don't know about RH but I use Fiesty Fawn and I ran into this issue w/ my laptop.

If there's no mixer visible, you might want to see if your sound card is supported by Alsa. Just go to Alsa's proj website & check if ur audio hardware is supported. If it isin't...tough luck If it is, just go ahead & install Alsa.

In video, are you getting a stream error? Something like "can't determine the type of stream" even after loading all the codecs? It looks to me that your video card is the standard one by intel. Try and get this:

no its not showing any stream error .i have check to display setting where the resolution is only set to 640* 480. other resolution are not present.
