I m just getting started with Linux, so i want to know which Audio and Vidoe player should i install? I mean what r the Linux equivalent for WinAMP and Windows Media Player???
xmms is probably the nearest thing to winamp, although there is a fork of xmms called beep media player too. Or you can use something like amarok which has more features plus a media indexing service. There is also a version of real player for linux if you like listening to real media on the web.
For video some of the better ones are vlc, xine (and gxine), mplayer, totem. Install a few and see what you get on with.
Though it's not relevant to your original post, I would respectfully offer you a tip that may prove even more helpful; you might consider refraining from using "alternative spellings" such as "gr8," and "r," and so forth. Generally speaking, members of the *NIX community (and, truth be told, most non-troglodyte online communities) often view such behavior as an indicator of immaturity, stupidity, a lack of decorum, and/or a host of other negative attributes. You will find, almost universally, that when your posts are composed with proper spelling and grammar, they will often generate more numerous, and more helpful responses.

One other thing that I should mention is that spelling correctly and refraining from geek speak helps non native English speakers like myself understand your posts.
If you want multimedia players that are similar in behaviour to Windows Media Player, then Xine and MPlayer are the best apps to install. Both can play any type of media as long as you have the right codecs installed.
