ATI Remote kernel module
i'm sure that this question has been answered before, however, i cannot find the answer i'm looking for.
I have just recompiled my kernel to get usb working (upgraded to 2.6-epia) and i compiled ati_remote as a kernel module and set it load on start-up. i have also downloaded lirc and have it running at default.
when i check ot see if it is loading the driver:
#lircd --nodaemon
lircd 0.7.0[11246] lircd(serial) ready
also when i try to set the driver to use as atiusb
#lircd --driver=atiusb
Driver `atiusb' not supported.
Supported drivers:
default
the only documentation that i can find on this is:
fedoranews.org/contributors/youssef_makki/remotewonder/ (using the config files from here)
remotew.free.fr/linux_en.htm
but all of which are referring to a kernel module at Gatos that says that the ati remote is supported in LIRC 0.7.0+ and is also available as a kernel module in 2.6 (which i have done)
how do i get lirc (or linux in general) to recognize the ati remote and use it as regular input device.
i would like to get the remote working before i move onto installing and configuring X.
any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
CrazyYoyimbo
