ATI 128 Rage Pro and XFree86-4.3.0

I have had no luck getting this old card to work with 4.3.0 and all the ATI drivers I can find do not support this card. The "r128" module loads but the agpgart module won't..

Hmm..
You dont need the FireGl drivers for that card
You can get the DRI drivers from dri.sf.net
Those install with a simple script

I got the drivers off this site http://www.rage3d.com/ but there was a thread in their forum that said there wasn't support for r128 yet.

I installed the DRI drivers but it didn't change anything.
