Anyone know if linux drivers for Audiowerk2 sound card are available?

Hi all,

Would love to get this sound card working with linux, (Emagic Audiowerk 2 - 2 in 2 out + digital in/out). I think it uses a wierd Philips AV chip (Philips Semiconductors SAA7146), all drivers I find for the chip seem to be video related (for tv etc)??

Has anyone got this sound card working under linux?

Thanks

Lucas

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

I cant for the life of me find any section regarding sound cards listed as 14.1 14.2 etc.. That you spoke of.?

all I found was http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Sound-HOWTO/index.html

Any chance of posting a link?

Lucas

penguin4 -- Unfortunately it seems that the link you specified is 404. If you can edit your post to supply the correct link, that would be helpful, but I'd also like to ask that it would be a lot more helpful if you could also suggest specific commands or configuration changes that lucastic could try.

By virtue of your post I will assume that you are using the same equipment as lucastic has mentioned -- what commands were necessary for you to get this card up and running on your rig? -- J.W.
