Angry add new harddrive?

Sorry guys just new to Linux (am loving it)

just can't seem to figure out how to add a new HD. Ik can see it, the system calls it hdb1 but it's an old fat32 drive.

I want to repartition it and format it with the ext3. help

You can use cfdisk or fdisk to repartition:
cfdisk /dev/hdb
fdisk /dev/hdb

Then to format you can use "mkfs", you can use "-t" to choose a filesystme type - ie:
mkfs -t ext3 /dev/hdb1
mkfs -t reiser /dev/hdb2

right so you'd repartition it using an app like "cfdisk /dev/hdb" or fdisk under linux. then format it using "mke2fs -j /dev/hdb1" and then add an entry in /etc/fstab to mount it somewhere.
