5600xt 256mb getting slightly less FPS then mx440

I recently upgraded my video card from a MX 440 to a MSI GeforceFX 5600xt 256mb. In glxgears the 440 averaged 2100FPS and the 5600 averages about 2050.

What is the deal?

I renamed the driver in my xfree86config file and uncommented the load glx line also.

The nvidia driver i am using is:
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run

What agp are you using?
You might want to have a poke around with it, the details are in the README file from nvidia.

Ok, this is going to sound odd, but it's the truth. I can't seem to find any mention of agpgart or nvagp in my xfree86config.

When I run glxinfo i get:
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce FX 5600XT/AGP/SSE/3DNOW!

So i know it's recognizing agp.

what else can I do?

Read the README file, all the info is in there.
And 'lsmod' (as root) will tell you if agpgart is loaded.
