[fedora c3]nvidia drivers

alright, i downloaded the latest nvidia drivers and upon installing them it says something like my system doesn't have a precompiled kernel interface and then attempts to download one from the nvidia website. then it says it can't find one and installs some modules of some sort and continues on with the installation without any problems. i set the correct values in xorg.conf but whenever i go to boot it says it can't determine my X configuration. anyone had this problem before? i'm assuming it has something to do with the "kernel interface" thing or udev.
