Smile Zypper update RPM package


hello guys, to update rpm package using Zypper..

it will be like this:

Zypper update rpm_package_name
because for rpm command its:

rpm -Uvh rpm_package_name
any input is greatly appreciated..

! There is no question in post #1 !

1) "zypper update" : The command is # zypper update <package-name>
.... The name / package info can be found with e.g. $ rpm -qi <name>,
.... when you have verified the correct package name with
# zypper se <name> ( or <part-of-name> ).


2) "rpm -Uvh rpm_package_name". Correct is : # rpm -Uvh package-name.rpm

Yup, I never realized it.. Thanks buddy..

i'll use the zypper update then..

as you know there is no suse rpm called " rpm_package_name "

zypper update kernel-desktop
or
zypper update kernel-xen
or
zypper update kernel-pae
-----------
zypper update libpng*
zypper update gimp
