xinetd problem?

Hey everyone,

So I tried to edit xinetd.conf and accidentally type 'ci' instead of 'vi'. And I was left with a xinet.conf,v file. But now when I type 'killall -HUP xinetd' I get 'xinetd: no process killed.' Is this a problem? There is still a xinetd.conf file in /etc. Any help on this would be great.

Thanks.

ci - check in RCS revisions

Your using a RCS command.

Check to make sure the file hass all what youwant in it. And if it does just copy it back to the real name e.g. xinetd.conf. Done you'll be fine'

If it has a bunch of junk like:
1.1
date 2003.10.25.06.19.1
1.1
log
@Initial revision
@
text
@

At the top just delete it all, and you should be OK;
