Wlan0 not active on boot up

Hi all, I have a problem that I haven't ben able to solve. I've much searching, but haven't really found the info that pertains to my situation. Anyway here's my problem.

First alittle info. I'm running a dual boot Winblows and SuSe 9.0 on a Dell Lattiude C600 and I use grub as the bootloader. I've been running SuSe for about 10 weeks and just love it!
Now I just started having this problem that I can't access the net. It just happened since Friday April 16. What happens is during boot up where Linux is loading everything, get a message right after Suse see's my pcmica card I get a warning message saying " warning Wlan0 is not (yet) active". Now I see it three times and then I get a message about the firewall can't start or something like that. Can't quite remember. Also it says I don't have any nameserver in my etc/reslov.conf file.

Everything seems fine, the KDE desktop loads and I'm ready. So I go to click on firefox to launch my browser and after a while says that it can't find page.

Now what I have done to fix the problem is to launch YAST and go to the securities section and then to firewall and stop the firewall. I then get a message saying firewall is not active. I then launch firefox and bam! I'm on the net.

Like I said before, I never had to do this step in stopping the firewall. I really don't want to do it.
How can I fix it so I don't get any warning message at bootup and I don't have to stop my firewall?

Thanks,
Chevy
