I am trying to install WS4U5 on AMD optron with kernel vmlinuz 2.6.9-55 EL Redhat version 4.2.1.10 Grub 0.95 ... the problem is that after installing windows xp i install WS4U5 and make the default boot to windows but it every time reboot and doesnt go to windows login untill 4 to 5 time ssytem reboot it self... it is working fine with WS3U8 ..... linux is working fine and after 4 to 5 time windows login it also work fine but system restrat.

Note:- this version of linux work fine with HPxw8400

please let me know as soon as possible as i have to do it on 4 Pc

firstly I have only one pc but you may be interested in kickstart....Mdv has a floppy of packages which acts similar to kickstart.

2) I assume you are having trouble with bootloader?

can you post your /boot/grub/menu.lst please

3) I assume xp is on first partition? and linux somewhere else?

if so here is a typical grub entry...change with root powers pls

root (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1
