Window Manager customisation

I'm not entirely sure this is the right place, but I couldn't see any specific section where this would of fitted better....

I have recently discovered Slitaz, and have been customising furiously. I would now like to heavily customise the Window Manager; OpenBox, standalone.

I do not simply want to change some window colours, but how the windows are presented. Basically I want to create a very simple interface, with a handful of large buttons, for things like browser/internet, email and documents with nothing else on screen except an off button and clock.

Could anyone advise on the best way to approach this or point me in the direction of some useful resources to achieve this?

Thanks for your response.

But neither of those seem to really fulfil what it is I want to do.

I'm basically trying to create an environment similar to that of Linpus lite on Notebooks

Have you considered using WindowMaker as your Window Manager? The Window Maker dock has the big icons and simple uncluttered workspace that you describe and is easy to customise. Perhaps it would suit you.
