where are boot scripts located


where are the scripts that show up on boot like the ones that say


booting redhat 9.0
kernel version -XXX


activating network [ok]

starting httpd [failed]

bla blah blahh

/etc/rc.sysinit is what you're referring to, I believe.
The other rc.# files are what are executed at that given runlevel. Such as rc.6 is executed at shutdown/reboot.

Just look in /etc/inittab ;)
