La Bible Linux

My first was a Red Hat 6.0 version that came free in the "la Bible Linux" in french, or "The Linux Bible", that we had to compile the Kernel from cd-roms that were included in between the pages of the Book. This book was MASSIVE!!!

Have a look for yourselves.

My first Linux experience was in Oct 2004 with "Ubuntu 4.10 postal mailed to users free of charge in [live and install] CD format."
My first install was Mandrake.
As of this writing I primarily use Linux Mint Debian Edition 5.

I started to learn Linux in 2017 which was Red Hat Enterprises. That time I was beginner and new in this sector. When I started learnig, it was personal experience that I was totally surprised from the Features of terminal. Through 5 years of journey in linux
it built my career strong and I am looking forward to hold a prestigious position in this field.

What was my first Linux distro

My first was 1998 Red Hat 5.0 in a nice box with a red hat on it, bought in a computer shop in Honolulu while passing through from Japan. After that I used CALDERA for a while until they went crazy suing people. 2.2 was the first distro to have KDE??? They had a great install program and I really was angry with them when they went lawyer crazy. SUSE, MANDRAKE, MANDRIVA, LINUX MINT, FREE SOLARIS used them all. Linux Mint at the present.

It is strange to be a NEWBIE when I joined well over a decade back...

Cheers
