Question Virtual Hosts using a BNC on a IRC Server

Hi guys...
I have an irc server that is linked to another irc network here in Brazil. I use psybnc and no problem with it.
But I have seen many people using hosts in irc like "ident@what.you.want" but I didn't get to do the same. All I got is to use an numeric host by setting up an eth0:1 on the ircd machine (so I use like "ident@1.2.3.4). I think and it's obvious that I need to do the reserve for the ip, but how do this if I don't have the domain? How do they use that?
If anyone can help me, I would be pleasured.
Sorry by my English... I hope you understand.

Search LQ/Google around for any post/text/HOWTO/provider explaining the meaning of the term "vhost".

Btw, it's got nothing to do with ppl liking you personally or not, more likely it's based on time, knowledge, willingness to help and contribute and the fact threads sink faster than a hot knife tru butter.
