using scsi scanner with ide-atapi cd burner

I have a ide-atapi cd burner and a scsi scanner (HP C5100A) on my computer. If grub.conf is configured for the cd burner with "ide-scsi=hdc" the burner works and the scanner is not detected. If I remove "ide-scsi=hdc" from grub.conf the scanner works (is detected), but the cd burner is not detected by "cdrecord --scanbus". What do I have to do to make both work?
