Use NFS to load kernel to the board

Hello,

I want to port Montavista linux to intel ixp 425 which has RedBoot. If I want to use NFS as the development environment, how can I do that? I mean, if I build an initial ramdisk.gz and zImage, can I load them directly or should I use other images for ramdisk and zImage to first bring up the board and then load the correct ramdisk and zImage files?
The network ethernet board is IXDP425

Anyone help me...

Thanks
Dennis
