Cool Things that run in framebuffer!!!

I've always had a kind of creepy fascination for stuff I could get to work without ever using X of any kind.

Be it a movie, using irssi, sitting alongside a messenger client of some sort and emulating various aspects of other programs with screen so I could multi-display chat-windows and other stuff.

Well, I'm having a really hard time finding much info (or anything in general) on what you can run without needing X.

What are you running in FB?

Where can we/I find msn/mp3 players/movieplayers (mplayer works in fb pretty well) and the likes that run in framebuffer?

Open box.

There are a few gui's like openbox that will run without X. Might check and their site and a few more X-less gui's to see what resource links they have available.
