The nvidia driver 169.09 was working fine, until I upgraded it to 169.12

Nvidia 169.09 was working fine, until I upgraded it to 169.12 using the pacman manager.

It appears to be a mismatch problem, but not sure how to resolve it.
Below is the partial error after running startx

Error: API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module has version 169.12,
but this NVIDIA driver component has version 169.09. Please make
sure that the kernel module and all NVIDIA driver components
have the same version.
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module! Please ensure
(EE) NVIDIA(0): that there is a supported NVIDIA GPU in this system, and
(EE) NVIDIA(0): that the NVIDIA device files have been created properly.
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Please consult the NVIDIA README for details.
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

waiting for X server to begin accepting connections
giving up.
xinit: Connection reset by peer (errno 104): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.

Right now I am using the nv driver to get back into the x server. The nv driver is OK, but
it doesn't give me the higher resolutions I want.

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Problem solved

I forgot to upgrade the nvidia-utils package. It was using version 169.09.
After upgrading nvidia-utils to version 169.12 to match the 169.12 nvidia driver, everything went OK.

Got the latest nvidia driver working again. Cool.
