Ubuntu 7.1 how to install nvidia drivers 169.09

using add/remove applications i have the "restricted drivers manager installed" and "nvidia binary x.org driver ('new'driver)" which installs and enables nvidia driver version 100.14.19.

I would like to install the drivers from nvidia site which is 169.09 how do i install them without corrupting my installation?
