Start firefox wihout security issue?

Hello,

I would like to start firefox from bash using this command:

Code:
http://LOGIN:PASSWORD@LINUXWEBSITESITEAPACHE.org/welcome.php
Would you know how it could be passed without entering the password, and without offering a possible security issue (in other words, protected, more secured)?

thank you!!

Hello,

Wait a minute... How exactly are you trying to start firefox? You know that isn't a command, but a URL, so how are you trying to go about this? I think we need further information before we can assist you.

Cheers,

Josh

I would just let out the username and password, and have the user input it, IMO.

Indeed cuz the password will always remain into the cookies. Maybe an alternative would be that I send the txt over :
wput or scp to the distant ssh port service.

however to do that I need again to play around with .ssh key and it is not flexible, because if key change frequently then not working ... it might be always possible to encapsule the password using : PASS=`cat file | head -n 1`
