Sound is disturbed when minimize/maximize windows

Hi,
When i minimize, maximize windows or do something like that, it disturbs the sound if i am listening music at the same time. Any solution? Thanx.
(SUSE 10.0, Onboard AC97 sound card)

well -- it's kind of a cop out but -- disable the desktops sound server,
or make it so those particular events don't trigger sound.
there might be more that can be done but we ned more details.
what desktop ?
is the sound server running ?
to what is the music being delivered (soundserver or straight to alsa) ?

I installed xine-mad for Xmms and i am playing mp3 files with it, and no problem now unlike Amarok. You are right, i forgot to write details: my desktop is KDE 3.4, sound server is running. Anyway, thanks..
