Some distribution with like freebsd ports?

Hello, I did try FreeBSD and i like very much the freebsd ports, the freebsd ports are on:

/usr/ports/examplecategory/exampleport

And when a "make install clean" i can compile the port and dependencies automatically asking me each compile option for each port, its simple and elegant.

I try some distributions on gnu/linux with "similar concepts", slackware for example, but, Slackware does not resolve dependencies and slackbuilds are in external website "slackbuilds.org", is very heavy and cumbersome.

Is there any distribution that has a ports system as close to freebsd as possible?

Thanks.

ask around in here Void Linux the one that created it from scratch has a BSD background. this distro also sports some bsd ports already. and it has its own build system that calls in the depen, during build time.

Have a look at Crux Linux, BSD-style initscripts. It utilize a ports system also. The term Ports System refers to a remote repository containing ports and a client program capable of downloading ports from that repository. CRUX users use the ports utility to download ports from the repository and place them in /usr/ports/.
