Shared partition???
Hi, I'm a new forum member and I like it so much.
I have opend this tread for this problem whit a partition:
I have 2 Hard Drive:
1. 160 GB master on IDE 1 dedicated to Mandriva 2006 (soon ubuntu)
2. 80 GB slave on IDE 1 dedicated to Windows xp sp2
On the second drive I've reserved a partition of 20 gb to shere file between linux and windows and vice versa, I've formatted it in FAT32, and under linux I've creted a folder /osshare and from /etc/fstab I have added the following line:
/dev/hdb2 /osshare vfat unmask=000 0 0
When I try to mount this partition "mount /osshare" the shell print this error message:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb2,
missing codepage or other error
(aren't you trying to mount an extended partition,
instead of some logical partition inside?)
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
Plese help me, and sorry for my bad English
Thk you so much
