screen resolutions for fedora 6

I installed Fedora 6 a several months ago and my screen resolution seemed to be working just fine, I had it set to 1280x1024. However a couple weeks ago I notice that the resolution change to 800x600 and now I can't set it any higher. I would like to get some ideas concerning what might have happen as well as some suggestions about what I can do to resolve the issue. I am willing provide any information that will help I just don't know what that is.

Thanks for the help.

What graphics driver are you using and what does your xorg.conf file look like?

I figured it out. I had to go into the display setting and set me monitor device to a LCD display. Somehow that setting got lost and linux reverted back to a genertic display. Once I made the correction and restarted me machine all the resolutions were there. I am good now. Thanks.
