SAMBA configured but WINDOWS XP not able to connect
Hello Experts,
We have a working SUSE SAMBA Setup within our local Workgroup Network.
From Linux Clients also from Windows 7 Clients we are able to samba Mount our UNIX homes. No Problem here. Recently for Special Need one of our old Windows XP Professional Needs to be Setup as Samba Client to have Access to one of the unix homes. Here Comes the Problem.
I try to Map Network drive and get the error as "The Network path \\smbserv\user1" can not be found.
Both Server and Client are pingable.
But I do not get any logs on the Servers for the said Client as well. Log Level set to 3.
In order to further test , I did this from Client.
>Telnet smbserver 139
and i got connected to message. This time I also get the logs on samba Server. So it reaches to Server.
The only Thing that I can not make it work is getting the authentication Dialog box when I try to Map Network drive.
Any pointers to resolve this issue would be helpful.
Thanx.
