Run-from-CD Linux

I have researched all of the different run-from-cd Linux distributions, but nothing does what I need to it do. I just want to be able to boot Linux and run KDE or GNOME with it auto logging on. All I need when it logs on is a rdesktop connection icon. I basically want to make it a thin client type of linux. Elearnix does what I need something like this, but I cannot customize it or take the applications I don't need out.

If anyway knows how to make a cd like this please let me know how. Or please point me in the right direction. I think I just need the kernel, X-Windows, and rdesktop program to make it run.

Live CD's are cool when your not using your own linux box, otherwise I'm not a huge fan of them. It's pretty cool how it all works, well actually its damn right amazing. But livecds are only good if your computer messes up and you need to backup something <---thats what I use it for

Thank you very much. RIght now I have a Redhat box, but I am looking to use this cd to connect to Microsoft terminal server for my clients instead of buying a thin client. I would just throw this cd in an old box that cannot run windows anymore and have it boot up to where the user can click on an icon to open a remote desktop connection.

I will check those sites out. Thank you again.
