How I got DC++ to run in Linux

Hi
I thought id post this just because it may be of interest to lots of linux newbies. I tried Valknut, Azureus and other linux distributions but did not really like them. So I moved to trying to run DC++ with wine. First I tried by downloading the installer and after several attempts with crashing I decided to download the binary (dont even know what it means by that). After I unzipped it I noticed it looked like the DC++ directory on my windows desktop. So I emptied the DC++ directory in my Wine Program files directory (stuff left over botched attempts), ensured I had the right dll
this guide shows you which ones and the config lines u need to insert
funkfunk.orcon.net.nz/dcwine
To use the above address u need to put the http bit in front and html on end, it wont let me post the website here until i have five posts.
I then ran DC++ using wine and it worked. I have had it running for quite a while now and it hasnt shown any instability.
If any more experienced users (prolly 98% of this forum) want to comment please feel free to do so, maybe help show how I fluked getting it work this way
Peter

Thanks for this - I have been trying to find a P2P client as good as DC++ since I've started using Linux and have since been unsuccessful.
