Reread my last post. Using
cd to change directory, get into the MPlayer install file - cd /wherever/the/install/directory/is and then run
./configure --enable-gui.
./configure will not work at the moment for 2 reasons:
1. you are not in the install directory, you are in the codecs directory
2. you are root at the moment, if you install MPlayer as root at this point, you will not be able to use it.
Code:
$ cd /to/the/install/directory/for/MPlayer
$ ./configure --enable-gui
$ make
$ su
<enter root password>
# make install
