Question about Partitioning and GRUB

Hey everyone. I have 2 hard drives in my desktop right now: one of them is for Windows XP and the other for Linux. However, I want to get rid of Windows completely and leave the second hard drive formatted with ext3 so I can store away some more files. My only concern is that GRUB is currently configured to dual boot with XP and Linux. Will GRUB give me any problems if I delete the Windows partition and format it for Linux? (I've heard that GRUB can be touchy sometimes) Any help is appreciated and thanks for your time.

If you don't touch the partitions on your linux disk, nothing bad happens.

Thanks everyone. I just deleted my Windows partition about 15 minutes ago. I've already noticed that my machine is a lot snappier (if that's even the right word, lol).

If your Linux operation got faster by simply deleting Windows, you are really on to something......
I can't imagine what the mechanism for this might be......When Linux is running, it does not know or care what is on any other partitions--unless one is mounted and there is file read-write activity.

It might be a good idea to make a second swap on the former windows disk... Of course, it depends on your habits and perormance of the computer...
