I have sme server 6.0 mail server and had a power failure last night and now apache, MySQL and Qmail are not running. I have managed to get Apache and MySQL running but unable to get Qmail to run. and when I type the command `service qmail start` I get the following error:
Starting qmail:svc: warning: unable to control /service/qmail: supervise not running
Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with qmail, I suspect the power failure may have corrupted some files.
I would suspect you are right. You should re-build qmail using the same config file but be sure to 'make clean'. If you use courier-imap re-build it first(and follow the README about ownership). After qmail you should also build any other modules that are in the same directory as the qmail source. Good luck. Qmail is fairly bullet proof when it's right, but when it's wrong, it's really wrong.

Thanks very much tkedwards and leandean for the input, and sorry for getting back so late. After all that I found an old ghost image of the server I had when I first set it up, just used that and then copied the messages back to the users folders. Fixing one problem but starting another, now all messages are being deferred and not getting to their destinations.
Sme server is a great product but it seems to move all files to different locations and split the single config files into multiple files. So I think I might just start from scratch and build my own server and compile everything from source. Life with qmail looks like a great site thanks for the tip.
