[SOLVED] Problem with nvidia (GPU gtx770)

Hi all, Today I'm moving from a very old graphics card , to a newer one the GIGABYTE gtx 770 4GB , after changing tha GPU the system (Arch linux) loaded without any problem .. but I'm moved from nvidia-340xx to nvidia-390xx (As suggest in Nvidia wiky for graphics card series 700 )
But I have a lot of problem :

1) vlc doesn't start with this message :

what I wrong ?? glxinfo looks ok ! and glxgears as well ... but i need to make plot with python and have the system that works properly...

for me it looks like the installation of that driver was not successful. But hard to say anything, what you posted is not enough to say anything.
How did you install that nvidia driver at all? What kind of OS is it?

Hi ! thanks for your answer I used Arch Linux , and I've installed the driver nvidia (version 415, as suggest in the arch wiky)
I just solved the problem with python uninstalling matplotlib from pacman repository and install it from python-pip, but there are several applications that doesn't run !
I use I3 wm.
vlc , qutebrowser, paraview (and maybe much more other) doesn't run but fail with segmentation fault .. vlc doesn't run the GUI .. and so on .. glxinfo looks ok ! but I'm sad because the things was better with the old gt 430 card ..

If you need relevant information that could help you to understand where is the problem please ask me !!

i use the 670 on slackware using version 410.93 of the nvidia installer

my kernel is 4.18.20

I forgot to report here that I solved installing driver 415 and reinstalling xorg !

so i will mark the post as SOLVED
