this is my latest screenshot
Afterstep on top of gnome, RH7.2
I reallly hate the way RH configures my windowmanagers, I don't like it when it tries to do such things like creating enlightment with gnome panel, or in the case of afterstep it puts gnome panel also, along with the desktop
it's a little on the uncompressed side... so for those of you on dialup, i'm sorry. :-) i just designed that theme last night, and i'm kinda proud of it. so opinions are welcome.
can anyone tell me what movie that quote's from? ;-)

how did u do that? is that a theme or background pic?
it's a theme... and made the background pic using the gimp. though i didn't draw the picture (wish i could draw that well); i found it online, and thought it'd make a pretty fresh background, and once i finished the background i figured a theme to go along would be an even better idea. :-)
I don't understand why people have girl as backgrounds, i don't really understand why people think it's not... erm.. embrassasing? i dunno, i just like my backgrounds to me a little less obvious.

i can understand why some people might think it's embarrassing to have pictures of girls on their desktop... i don't think i'd ever want a pic of a real life chick on my desktop. but to me, it's different when it comes to anime or drawings. they're not real, and it's just a bit of fantasy. my background is a girl called aya brea, from parasite eve, a video game by squaresoft.
personally, i think the penguin backgrounds are pretty lame... but that's just my opinion. obviously some of you don't like having girls on your desktop, and that's yours. :-)
oh, and i guess i don't consider it embarrassing to have a chick as my backdrop cause i can't remember the last time a girl looked at my machine. :-)
