NFS setup question: No password setup?

Hi,

I have this question from the course that I am taking-
Do you need to have an account (and password) on a file server to access NFS?
I can't find a clear answer to this anywhere in the book/net. Could this be done?

Thanks

As far as I've seen it only works with file permissions. So you don't get a popup box if that's what you're asking.

It's a file in /etc - not a package

If you have nfs-tools installed you'll most likely have a
/etc/exports and its man-page installed. Just try "man exports"

Tink
