mounting a 'super' floppy disk

I want to mount a 'super floppy' which is listed in the disk utility as /dev/sdb.

I am unsure of the sequence here. Should I first mount: mount /mnt/floppy ...or something similar
And next edit the /etc/fstab file....or is this step not necessary.

Finally, this is vfat formatted. Should I try to reformat it in ext or leave it as is?

Your help is appreciated

I don't know what do you exactly mean as super floppy.
I have a supper floppy disk (/dev/sdb1) with Puppy Linux mounted in /media/sfloppy/ formatted in an ext3 file system. I added it to /etc/fstab in order to auto mount it when booting and it works awesome.
