You mention "exported directories". Does this mean you are trying to mount NFS?

I need major help.
It seems that mount either times out or if it does successfully mount it's only after 2 minutes has transpired.
The networking folks at work assure me the network is working fine.

And they are probably right. Just don't trust them too much. Remeber the saying "trust, but verify". They could be unintentionally blocking port 2049 (NFS) somewhere, for example.

The Windows boxes on the network aren't experiencing any problems.

And they wouldn't. Windows boxes don't mount NFS. They mount SMB or CIFS. You can try to mount using one of these instead on your linux machines. "mount -t cifs ..."

Ping is has no loss to the server (NetApp device).
Do you know where I should be looking? (logs, info why mount fails)

Imediatly after mount fails, run "echo $?" and compare that number to the ones at the end of "man mount". You can also check with "dmesg | less" and the log files in /var/log/.

There have been no configuration changes on the workstations.

So it was working before? What has changed?

What is on a workstation or server that would cause "mount" to fail?
I am really really stuck. Please provide any info that might be helpful.
